October 15th is Global Handwashing Day, a day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. At Carex we’re encouraging everyone to spread the word about the importance of effective hand washing. Carex has a long standing history of delivering hand hygiene education in schools. Now we are proud to announce that we are linking up with Manchester City’s charity – City in the Community Foundation, as the official partner of the City Lifestyles Programme.

For the launch of the Carex partnership with City in the Community we surprised one group of lucky school children to some very special guests on their City Lifestyles session. Manchester City’s Goalkeeper Ederson Santana de Moraes, defender Eric Garcia and Midfielder Ian Poveda-Ocampo gave the children the surprise of their lives. Look at the joy on their faces. CITY lifestyles programme
City Lifestyles is a six week programme that delivers classroom and physical activity sessions for parents and children together. Each week the parents & children learn about the importance of a healthy balanced diet and develop a range of cookery skills creating a healthy and affordable meal each week.
In partnership with Carex, the programme aims to increase awareness of the importance of washing hands and overall hand hygiene. Encouraging children to wash their hands more regularly & efficiently!
